Nominations for this year's awards were entered by both developers and publishers, and then shortlisted by BAFTA games members and a number of industry experts via a secure website. A short list was then divided into released and unreleased titles, with each BAFTA game juror playing either the finished game or pre-release code.
The winner of a publicly voted PC World Gamers Award will also be announced at the gala awards ceremony, due to be held in London on 23rd October during this year's London Games Festival.
