Namco Bandai Games has licensed Terminal Reality's Infernal Engine for its upcoming Food Network-branded
Cook Or Be Cooked, in development by Red Fly Studio for release later this year.
Although Namco Bandai hasn't announced platforms for its game, Infernal Engine supports development on all current platforms except for the DS -- including PSP, Wii, Xbox 360 and PC. It features a particle system, a content pipeline and "advanced" physics support.
It's the proprietary tech Terminal Reality used in the development of
Ghostbusters, and the studio just recently began
making it available to licensees in February. Shortly thereafter, it
announced an 'expansive' content partnership with Streamline Studios.
"With rendering, special effects, scripting and audio tools ready to go, our team at Red Fly Studio was able to focus on what is truly important for the title -- cooking up a storm," says Namco Bandai Games America executive producer Mike Morishita.
