Following the
announcement yesterday that Canadian publisher Hip Interactive Corp. is to go into receivership, representatives from Hip Interactive Europe have made it clear that the company will continue to pursue its activities as a publisher, distributor and peripheral provider.
The company, which was recently awarded the MCV Award for Best Industry Newcomer, will maintain its full support to its products, clients and partners, and has reconfirmed upcoming releases such as
Rugby Challenge 2006,
Garfield: Saving Arlene and various accessories, including a new range for the PSP and its European launch in September.
According to the company, and despite the presumable funding shortfall caused by its sister company going out of business, Hip Interactive Europe will also remain the publisher of forthcoming titles
George A. Romero's City of the Dead,
Ghost Wars and
Call of Cthulhu: Destiny's End, which were assumed to be in danger yesterday with the collapse of the Canadian arm of Hip Interactive.
