Activision's Call of Duty 4 Gets Wii Release

Call of Duty 4 will receive a Wii release developed by Treyarch, and timed alongside the launch of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2, says the game's publisher Activision.
Call of Duty 4 will receive a Wii release timed alongside the launch of Modern Warfare 2, says Activision. Treyarch will handle the port, which specifically hits November 10. The developer's Call of Duty 4, which is subtitled Modern Warfare, has sold over 13 million units to date since its November 2007 launch. This November, Activision has said it aims to make Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 the "biggest entertainment launch of all time." With that aim in mind, the publisher recently re-attached the Call of Duty brand name to this latest title, after an OTX study found that consumer awareness of the game . Recently, though, OTX said that keeping Call of Duty paired with Modern Warfare 2 contributed to a favorable shift in purchase intent for the game.
