Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Pennsylvania announced that it will be a site for the second annual Wild Pockets PA Game Jam
, a free 24-hour game creation event open to developers of all skill levels.
The contest challenges developers to create a game project in 24 hours using the free and browser-based Wild Pockets 3D game engine and platform.
After the 24-hour design period, participants will submit their creations to a judging panel of industry experts. All entries will be featured at wildpockets.com, and developers of the competition's winning title will receive a cash prize.
Wild Pockets' Game Jam event is open to the first 200 registered participants. Competitors may design game projects solo or as a team, though organizers recommend that developers assemble into teams of two to five persons each.
The PA Game Jam will be held on October 3rd and 4th at Harrisburg University's Center for Advanced Entertainment and Learning Technologies, with a simultaneous event held at Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center in Pittsburg.
