Organizers of the Games Convention Developers Conference (GCDC) in Leipzig, Germany have announced a call for papers for the 2008 event, with speaker submissions being accept from now until April 30th for prominent members of the games, IT and movie industries. The conference will take place at the Leipziger Messe in Germany from August 18th to 20th – just prior to the Games Convention expo, now Europe’s largest public and press event. The main topics of GCDC will be online games, casual games, and the latest server technologies. Organizers are also looking for presentations and workshops in the fields of development, business and science. In the area of business development, sessions will focus on financing, international project management, and new business models. “Next to developers from Europe, we have addressed developers in North America. The new GCDC program will also address topics and trends of the Asian game industry," said Frank Sliwka, project director of GCDC and GC Asia Conference (GCAC). Further information for submitting a topic or speaker can be found at the official GCDC website.
