Kain is a former games journalist and lifelong gamer with core experiences amongst JRPGs, CRPGs, SRPGs, Shmups, Beat-em-ups, retro twitch, and fighting games (formerly a competition level Soul Calibur and Street Fighter player). He will always have a special place in his heart for emergent simulations that follow the Looking Glass school of design.
Kain eventually made the transition into the development side of the industry in 2000 as a programmer. His credits over the last 10 years include Microsoft/Bicycle Casino, Deus Ex: Invisible War, Thief: Deadly Shadows, the N-Gage 2.5 SDK, Mushroom Men, and Ghostbusters for the Wii.
Kain is currently a senior gameplay programmer/dishwasher working on Dishonored at Arkane Studios in Austin.
