Alexis Miller

Alexis Miller is Director of Product Management of Schell Games, where she supports strategic decision-making using analytics and player insights. She excels at implementing complex projects like player safety and leading strategy through quantitative and qualitative data-based decision making. She is passionate about making games more accessible, safe and inclusive for all different audiences.
Alexis has worked in digital product management for nearly 10 years, collaborating with teams on mobile apps, a web portal and nearly a dozen virtual reality games. She was first introduced to Schell Games and transformational gaming while working for the health insurance and provider network, UPMC Health Plan. That partnership started with a proof of concept and resulted in a gorgeous mobile app game that promoted healthy habits such as weight loss, stress management, and smoking cessation. Prior experience includes teaching English in Japan, a project manager and technical writer in a health economics and analytics department, as well as 6+ years working in the nonprofit and human services sectors. She is currently based out of Taos, NM.
Alexis was a “40 Under 40” winner in Pittsburgh, a “Dignity and Respect Champion” award winner at UPMC, and received an honorable mention for the Association for Community Affiliated Plans’ “Making a Difference Award,” among other honors. Alexis has been serving on the board of an environmental nonprofit for over 12 years as well as Secretary on the board of a mental health nonprofit. In her spare time, Alexis is also a partner/owner/landlord of a real estate business with her husband.
Alexis has a Master’s of Science in Public Policy and Management degree with a policy analysis focus from Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and completed her BA at the University of Pittsburgh with dual majors of German and Journalism. She is a proud alumnus of the AmeriCorps Public Allies program and Leadership Pittsburgh’s Leadership Development Initiative XVI.
