In an interview appearing today on 1UP's Chiptuned blog, Dom Beken of the UK hip-hop duo High Frequency Bandwidth announced that the group will be contributing new tracks for Q-Games' PixelJunk Shooter 2.  The news coincides with the release of a free demo for PixelJunk Shooter, appearing later this week on the Playstation Network.

"We're writing the next album and talking with Q-Games about putting some of those tracks on Shooter 2," Beken told 1UP.  "It's going to be a great step up from Shooter and only time will tell what we figure out to do with the sound and gameplay."

High Frequency Bandwidth was nominated for a BAFTA award earlier this year for their contribution to the downloadable game title's soundtrack.  Their debut 17-track album "Hell Fire and Brimstone," appearing in July on the Malicious Damage record label, will feature six tunes from PixelJunk Shooter, treated to additional instrumentation.
