The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.

For the first time in over a year neither of the two Nintendo DS Brain Training games feature in the Japanese top ten, although they have been immediately replaced by Nintendo’s latest Touch! Generations title – Common Sense Training DS. The title's strong opening suggests Nintendo could well have another million seller in waiting, while Pokemon Diamond/Pearl continued to sell strongly and will now almost certainly cross the 3 million mark within the next two weeks. The second highest new entry of the week is Namco’s 3D role-playing game Tales of the Tempest for the Nintendo DS. Although the game entered at a lower chart position then the recent Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition on PSP, it did sell in greater numbers at 88,137 vs. 66,263. Other new entries, in what has proven a busy week for new releases, include anime based strategy role-player Utawarerumono at number five and the first PSP iteration of popular combat flight simulator Ace Combat at number six. The latest adaptation of manga Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure debuted at number seven, now published by Bandai Namco rather than Capcom. Meanwhile, Sega’s Yakuza re-entered the charts at number ten – a rare feat for any budget re-release in Japan. Hardware sales for the Nintendo DS were up over 40,000 units on the previous week, to 158,795. For the first time in several weeks the PSP came in ahead of the PlayStation 2, with sales up over 5,000 to 25,908 units. PlayStation 2 sales were down only slightly 21,832, with the Game Boy Advance family of consoles down at 3,224. the Xbox 360 was up slightly to 1,565 units sold and the GameCube static at 644.
