Responding to Internet reports that Microsoft had cut the disk size, spokesperson James Bernard said the company had once mulled boosting capacity to 10 gigabytes but that the official specifications had always called for eight. The slightly smaller drive will have no effect on developers writing games for the console, which is to debut on November 15.
