Following the introduction of its Cloth plug-in for 3ds max last year, Kelseus is licensing the technology as a separate engine. The Cloth Engine generates realistic animation of clothes and fabric using a high speed solver and collision detection and rectification system that takes into account vertices, faces and edges to speed up the complex interactions of the fabric with a character or object. The Cloth Engine will be platform independent, allowing it can be integrated into various animation packages. No pricing information was given by the company.
