A new UK 'serious games'-related conference, The International Serious Games Event has been announced to take place in Birmingham, UK on June 5-6, according to its organizers (who are unrelated to the U.S.-based Serious Games Summit, which is part of CMP, as is Gamasutra.) The two-day event, o be held at the International Convention Centre in the heart of Birmingham, England, is organized in association with UK Trade & Investment, Coventry University, and Advantage West Midlands. It will include plenary sessions looking at serious games from an industry, technological, and research/academic perspective, as well as facilitated networking, panel discussions, and sector-specific demonstrations, as well as a number of other speakers and sessions to be confirmed.
