Publisher Red Mile (Jackass: The Game, Heroes Over Europe) has announced that SimCity co-creator and Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun has joined its strategic advisory team. Braun co-founded Maxis with Will Wright in 1987, and Red Mile notes that he has played a key role in more than 25 games throughout his career. Red Mile calls Braun's appointment "the latest in a series of key strategic moves." In December 2007, the studio secured the rights to develop a game based on Frank Miller's Sin City comics, for which it also licensed Epic's Unreal Engine 3. Said Braun, "Red Mile got my attention when it licensed Frank Miller's Sin City. The opportunity to work with a company that has the rights to such an influential Frank Miller property is very compelling. The next big challenge for Red Mile will be to turn this property into a triple-A game and make the transition to a top-tier publisher. I believe their development strategy, in addition to the management experience of Glenn Wong, are key steps toward achieving this goal."
