Twentieth Century Fox announced that the studio has signed an agreement with Microsoft, making available episodes from the animated television series Family Guy for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace beginning September 2. According to a statement, last year the animated series was rated as the number one prime time series among men between the ages of 18 and 34, the same core demographic for Xbox Live. While the popular show will begin airing its sixth season in Fall 2007, this new partnership will bring full episodes from Family Guy's first two seasons to the online service. In addition, Xbox Live users will also be able to download 2005's video release, Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin -- The Untold Story. The announcement was made by Fox executive Jamie McCabe, who called Family Guy a “perfect match” for the Xbox Live platform. Microsoft's Media & Entertainment Group senior director Jamie McCabe echoed this sentiment, stating that the series is “sure to be a hit on the service.”
