Eidos Interactive (Hitman, Deus Ex) has announced Battlestations: Pacific, a sequel to 2007's BattleStations: Midway, will be available for Xbox 360 and PC. The action-strategy game features both U.S. and Japanese single-player campaigns that cover battles from WWII history. Both campaigns feature over 28 story missions and 21 new units, including kamikaze and other WWII jets and units. It also adds five multiplayer modes to allow players to battle against friends with new maps and units. In the American faction, players can pick up where the Battlestations: Midway story left off and fight their way through The Battle of Midway to Okinawa with the aim of securing peace in the Pacific. As the Japanese, players control the Imperial Japanese fleet and fight at Pearl Harbor before attempting to change the course of history and take control of the Pacific Ocean. Robert A. Lindsey, EVP of sales and marketing for Eidos, commented, "Eidos is excited to bring an even bigger, more innovative and authentic experience with Battlestations: Pacific. With an all new Japanese faction to explore and fight with, newly expanded multiplayer content, and a slew of new air, sea, and land units, the game takes the Battlestations series to the next level, bringing a completely different perspective to the war over the Pacific."
