Worldweaver has announced that the new version of DX Studio, its 3D PC game creation suite, has been released. All editions of new version, including Freeware, Standard, and Pro, have been updated with new features. Some of the additions includea new physics engine with support for solid terrain and objects, new rain and ocean effects, new runtime mesh-adding functions, document encryption to protect files from being edited without a password, line, triangle and rectangle drawing tools with transparency for both 2D and 3D, WMV video streaming from a URL, coordinate feedback in the editor status bar, the ability to call an external DLL from JavaScript, and others. More detailed information on these features and their use is available at the DX Studio website. The official site also offers a full download of the new version.
