Officials from in-game advertising firm Double Fusion have announced the appointment of two new European execs, including The Independent's Daniel Best, and former Sega Europe director of brand marketing David Miller -- Blizzard VP of global business development Itzik Ben Bassat also joins the Double Fusion board. Daniel Miller comes to Double Fusion following a career with companies such as Electronic Arts, Capcom, Sega and Virgin, as well as his post at Sega Europe, and will become the company's new director of business development and marketing for Europe. Double Fusion says Daniel Best's career includes turning UK news site www.independent.co.uk from a loss making unit into the fastest growing business division at The Independent. Prior to The Independent, Best was international sales manager at the Discovery Channel. Best will now work with Noam Korin, Double Fusion's European head of sales. Along with the two appointments, Double Fusion has also announced Itzik Ben Bassat has joined its board. The company says Ben Bassat is considered "the architect of World of Warcraft's success internationally." Ben Bassat served as VP of global business development and international business operations at Blizzard Entertainment of Vivendi, and now is a general partner with media technology fund JVP. The new hires follow the appointment of former Electronic Arts executive Frank Sagnier as the company's European Managing Director earlier this month. Said Sagnier, "The experience and skill of both Daniel and David ensures that we successfully take the Double Fusion European operation to a new level. Their knowledge, creativity and contacts within their respective fields enable us to credibly deliver the Double Fusion message to the senior players within the advertising and interactive entertainment markets."
