Digimation recently announced that it is close to completing the work on its plug-in technology to bring it in line with Discreet's 3ds max 4 release. Discreet’s recent shipping of 3ds max 4 prompted a release of updates from Digimation, with all the remaining tools undergoing expedited revision to ensure they are available in the next few weeks. Digimation says that all of the new versions of plug-ins will have the identical functionality as they had in 3ds max 3 and will be strictly direct ports. Where functionality changes, information will be provided online. Plug-in updates will be available for download from the Digimation website, as well as a new site set up for 3ds max users called www.maxusers.com. This new user site is also accessible from within the 3ds max 4 software's Help pull-down menu ('Plug-in Information'), and will be a focal point for distribution of up-to-date information occurring in the 3ds max universe.
