A unique partnership with Codemasters is giving gaming students at Sheffield Hallam University a chance to join its organization and have their full tuition fees paid for. Codemasters, one of the UK’s leading independent games developers and publishers, gives potential MSc Games Software Development students for 2006 the opportunity of future employment following completion of the course. Now in its third year, MSc Games Software Development has established a reputation within the UK games industry. Codemasters approached the University to help with the recruitment of game developers. Codemasters will be directly involved with the course, advise students on the industry, and enable teaching staff to develop their industry related skills. Recruitment for this opportunity will begin in summer 2006. Applicants must already have a degree in computing or a related discipline to be accepted onto this established course and have their course fees paid by the company.
