Brian O'Hara, a veteran 3D artist in the game industry, died July 2, 2002, after a battle with cancer at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, CA. He was 45 years old.
In the late 1980s O'Hara began working in the videogame industry working at Park Place of San Diego as a video game artist and art director. Brian worked at Sony in Mira Mesa, CA for over 9 years and was on the Playstation launch team. Notable games he worked on include Mohammed Ali Boxing and the first John Madden Football title. Additional titles include Batman PC, Body Illustrated, Facts in Action and Beat the House. He worked on Pennant Race, Spawn and other games for Sony. His final game, The Mark of Kri, is due to be released shortly.
