Microsoft representatives had announced that the company has bought the rights to 3DO’s High Heat Major League Baseball franchise, although the company has not yet revealed the price paid for it. High Heat is generally regarded as one of the best baseball simulators on the market – superior to Microsoft’s existing Inside Pitch Xbox titles. All of 3DO’s assets were sold at a bankruptcy auction in San Francisco on Thursday. As of yet there has been no reported buyer for the Army Men brand.
