This week Sony published its Last Of Us development documentary "Grounded: The Making of The Last Of Us" to YouTube, continuing the company's efforts to make the 84-minute documentary -- which was originally only available to Last Of Us season pass holders -- freely available. The documentary was produced by members of the Area 5 video production company who were present in Naughty Dog's Santa Monica, CA offices during development of The Last Of Us. While there's a fair bit of promotional rhetoric in the film, there's also a slew of interesting anecdotes and useful development advice from the likes of Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, Marianne Hayden, Nate Wells and more. Sony has also published the film to Amazon's Prime Instant Video streaming service, rendering it free to watch for all Amazon Prime members. Area 5 Productions has since gone on to successfully Kickstart "Outerlands: Season One", a project to produce a series of brief documentaries about video game culture.
