American McGee's Alice will allegedly be brought to dedicated game consoles for the first time since its 2000 PC-only debut, according to a recent report. Speaking to UK-based consumer website CVG, McGee said the original Alice will be available via a download code to purchasers of the game's upcoming sequel, Alice: Madness Returns. "A person who's purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game," said McGee, as part of a larger discussion on the new game's downloadable content. American McGee's Alice was an action-adventure game published by Electronic Arts for Windows and Macintosh-based PCs. The game offered a dark take on the Lewis Carroll classic, with a now-suicidal Alice being committed to a mental institution. Its direct sequel will be released in the United States on June 17 for for Windows, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. This new console version of the original Alice has not officially been confirmed by Electronic Arts at press time, and it is unknown if the game will be made available to those who have not purchased its sequel.
