Newsbrief: Flow State Media, the game studio behind mobile word game Letter UP, has received $1 million in a round of funding to take its multiplayer game engine for a ride. Letter UP revolves around a synchronous mobile multiplayer engine that Flow State Media has built, and the organizers of the SparksLabs Global accelerator program believe that this engine can be taken even further, hence the funding. The success of Letter UP's multiplayer validates the engine, says Flow State Media, and now the team is looking to take this funding and really go to town on the engine with more game ideas for mobile.
