Can Microsoft convince Xbox 360 owners to upgrade to the Xbox One if it offers them a $75 credit they can spend on Xbox Live? It seems that this is the bet the company is making, Eurogamer reports. The promo -- which spans the U.S., Canada, and the UK -- offers its "very best customers" the $75 code if they upgrade, though neither Eurogamer or NeoGAF could figure out the criteria it's using to choose who gets the promo, and Microsoft isn't explaining further. It seems to be another way for the company to bolster sales of its Xbox One console, which have lagged behind Sony's PlayStation 4. The company also recently pulled its Kinect camera out of the box, dropping the Xbox One's price $100 in the process. Sony also recently said that 31 percent of PlayStation 4 buyers switched from a non-Sony last-gen console. Microsoft recently told investors that it had more supply than demand for the Xbox One console in the current fiscal quarter.
