Gaming peripherals and accessories company Mad Catz Interactive has entered into an agreement with game studio Harmonix that will see the music game maker's 2010 title Rock Band 3 re-released this holiday season. Mad Catz will publish the third game in the series later this year, bundling the software with the peripheral maker's own Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Controller and the Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller. The game will also be available with the Wireless Mustang Pro-Guitar Controller, allowing gamers to play the pro-guitar content in-game. Mad Catz president Darren Richardson said of the agreement, "We are pleased to assume publishing responsibilities for Rock Band 3 this holiday season." "Rock Band is the ultimate interactive experience for any music fan, whether they’re looking for a great party game to share with friends, playing through Rock Band’s 3000 plus song library, or seeking out a fun way to learn guitar, drum or keyboard skills using Rock Band 3’s Pro Mode." Harmonix first announced Rock Band 3 at the start of 2010, and it went on to receive critical acclaim from the press and gamers alike. Mad Catz revealed last month that it had entered into a publishing agreement with Microsoft that allows it to release games on the Xbox 360.
