Halo Infinite multiplayer lead Andrew Witts has departed 343 Industries after three years. Witts broke the news on social media and explained he was stepping down to "relax and recharge."

"Today was my last day at 343 Industries. It’s been an honor leading the multiplayer design team over these years. Thank you to all Halo fans for your feedback over the years. We made this game for you," said Witts on Twitter. "Going to take some time off to relax and recharge but I’m excited what’s next."

According to Witts' Linkedin profile, he oversaw the multiplayer design team for all of Halo Infinite's game modes and systems, and worked with other multiplayer leads to ensure that all free-to-play product features had "clear direction and ownership."

Halo Infinite was recently named Online Game of the Year at the 2022 DICE Awards.
