With early registration reduced-rate passes rapidly running out, GDC sister event App Developers Conference organizers have announced two new talks in the Design & UI and Programming & Architecture Disciplines: analytics platform Mixpanel on how to collect and use analytics data to give your devs a competitive edge, and Tumblr on bad habits for mobile software developers. From the creators of the largest and longest-running game professional-focused Game Developers Conference (GDC), the brand new App Developers Conference (ADC) offers professionals a venue to share their knowledge about building, designing, marketing, and selling their apps. ADC will run November 5th-7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will be co-located with GDC Next. In 'The Bad Habits of Mobile Software Engineers,' Tumblr mobile engineering manager Chris Haseman will share the habits he has overcome in his 10 years of mobile software development. Haseman will describe how to build honest, delightful software, and how to navigate the 'Always Connected' myth. He will also cover how to keep your application's rating, no matter the store, from being obliterated by trolls. In 'Data: The (Not-So-Secret) Weapon for Mobile Success,' CEO and co-founder behind the Mixpanel analytics platform Suhail Doshi will discuss who to hire and what tools to use to analyze your app's data. He will also cover what metrics help in developing a mobile experience, examining how Path, Fitbit, and Airbnb have used data to maintain their leadership. These sessions join a number of high-profile, previously announced talks, all of which are now available on our expanding and interactive Session Scheduler.
