Newsbrief: Activision's latest financial results have given us another look at the state of its in-decline (but still highly popular) MMO, World of Warcraft.

After the release of the Warlords of Draenor expansion in November 2014 the game had over 10 million subscribers. By March 2015 that figure had fallen to 7.1 million, and by June 2015 - just three months later - it was down to 5.6 million

The August reveal of World of Warcraft's sixth expansion pack, Legion, appears to have finally stemmed the tide, with the game's subscriber count only falling by 100,000 to 5.5 million since June.
