Newsbrief: The Kickstarter campaign started last month by InXile CEO and Interplay founder Brian Fargo to fund Wasteland 2 has now ended, bringing in over $2.9 million in pledges. The project managed to reach its goal of $900,000 within just two days of being available, and has seen another $1 million added in April alone bumping the final total up to $2,933,197, meaning that Obsidian's Chris Avellone will also be stepping in to aid development of the title. Wasteland 2 is described as a "direct sequel" to the original 1988 release, which served as the predecessor to the popular Fallout series.
