Following its critically acclaimed 2009 iOS title Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor, indie developer Tiger Style has debuted its next game -- a sci-fi sidescroller dubbed Lost Mars. While details on the new game are scarce, Tiger Style promises to pull back the curtain for Lost Mars on Sunday, September 4, when it will be playable at the Juegos Rancheros indie game festival in Austin, Texas. The Juegos Rancheros website offers a teasing description of the game, noting, "What do you get when you mix one part Metroid, one part 1970's-era sci-fi film, and one part… gardening?!" In 2010, Tiger Style's Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor won the IGF Mobile Best iPhone Game award at the 2010 Independent Games Festival Mobile. The studio was founded originally by Randy Smith and David Kalina, who previously worked on big-budget games such as the Thief series.
