Every week, Gamasutra rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store. This week's U.S. revenue charts see Temple Run and DragonVale earning top iPhone sales, while The Sims: FreePlay and Battle Nations emerge as big sellers on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. DragonVale (Free) 2. Temple Run (Free) 3. Tiny Tower (Free) 4. Angry Birds ($0.99) 5. Pet Shop Story (Free) 6. Plants vs. Zombies ($2.99) 7. Poker by Zynga (Free) 8. Infinity Blade II ($6.99) 9. Words With Friends ($0.99) 10. Fruit Ninja ($0.99) Backflip Studios' microtransaction-supported sim title DragonVale tops the iPhone's revenue charts this week, leading over recent favorites like Imangi's autoscrolling platformer Temple Run and NimbleBit's Tiny Tower. Grand Theft Auto III and Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies drop out of chart range after impressive showings last week, as Infinity Blade II maintains strong sales in the face of renewed competition from free-to-play games like Poker by Zynga and Pet Shop Story. Here are this week’s top-grossing iPad applications: 1. The Sims: FreePlay (Free) 2. Battle Nations (Free) 3. Angry Birds HD ($4.99) 4. DragonVale (Free) 5. Smurfs' Village (Free) 6. Modern War (Free) 7. Slotomania 8. Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure (Free) 9. Pet Shop Story (Free) 10. Fruit Ninja HD ($2.99) EA's The Sims: FreePlay emerges as this week's highest-grossing iPad app, dropping former chart leaders Battle Nations and Angry Birds HD to second and third place. Fuzio's combat-themed sim title Modern War climbs up several spots to claim sixth place in today's results, meanwhile, as Game Insight's Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure returns to the top ten following a Christmas-themed update.
