With the dust from E3 2016 just about settled, the nominees for this year's Games Critics Best of E3 Awards have been announced.

This year Battlefield 1 leads the pack with five nods, including one for Best in Show, and is followed closely by Dishonored 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn, both with four noms apiece.

Looked at the publishers behind those titles, EA has the most nominations with 10, while Sony and Microsoft each picked up nine and seven respectively.

All nominations are based on hands-on demos made available to critics at the show floor, and aim to recognize those games that could end up shaping the future of the space.
