Mark Cooke is Shiny Shoe's Founder and CEO, a studio best known for strategy games Monster Train and Inkbound. He got his start in the games industry in the '90s, where he was an intern at LucasArts credited on both Grim Fandango and Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. Before Shiny Shoe, he held various industry roles including programmer and designer at Nihilistic Software (StarCraft: Ghost) in California and at Grasshopper Manufacture (Shadows of the Damned) in Japan. Before Monster Train and Inkbound, Mark and Shiny Shoe collaborated with Double Fine on several remasters, Stoic on The Banner Saga franchise, and Unknown Worlds on the Subnautica franchise. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his kids, cycling, and tinkering with technology.
