3D modeler and software developer DAZ 3D has collaborated with middleware developer Mogware to produce MOGBox, a time-saving and cost-effective solution for 3D content creation and reformatting. Using DAZ 3D's library of 3D content and Mogware's automation toolset technology, the company says developers can quickly transfer high-quality 3D content from one game environment to another with fewer opportunities for error. The MOGBox functionality will be available this spring as both a stand-alone tool and as a component of DAZ 3D's software applications. “Why re-create art from scratch when you can simply transfer the highest quality 3D content available, at a fraction of the price?" asked John Renstrom, president of Mogware. "We believe this opportunity will further accelerate time-to-market and reduce cost for new games.”
