Splutterfish, LLC, today released Brazil Rendering System Rio Edition (Brazil Rio)--a free personal-use version of its Brazil R/S 1.2 rendering system. Both tools allow enhanced, network rendering for 3Ds Max. Brazil Rio is specifically designed to let 3D enthusiasts use the capabilities of the full-blown version, with the only limitations being a strict prohibition on any commercial use, as well as limits on output resolution, network rendering, and the file format. Brazil Rio can be downloaded for free at http://www.splutterfish.com/rio/. Users will have acces to the company's web-based forums and online learning materials.
