Faced with charges from the British Environment Agency, the company pleaded guilty to exceeding the legal limit to how much effluent could be offloaded into the river. "In this case, despite our efforts to advise and assist the company, there were repeated breaches of consent limits which were wholly unacceptable," said BEA officer Hannah Woolridge. The company will pay 25,000 pounds ($46,049 USD) for the violation.
