Cycore and REALVIZ have released Image Modeler for Cult 3D, a software application that simplifies interactive 3D model creation, and brings photo-realistic models to the Web in small file sizes. Image Modeler for Cult 3D is based on both REALVIZ ImageModeler and Cycore Cult 3D technologies. Cycore Cult 3D provides low-bandwidth interactive 3D images, while REALVIZ’s Image Modeler simplifies the construction of dimensionally accurate 3D models from photographic, video or cinematic images. The finalized interactive 3D object can easily be embedded into Web pages, Microsoft Office documents, or Adobe Acrobat files. Designed especially for Web content creators, Image Modeler for Cult 3D is an image-based modeling application that simplifies the task of building 3D models, by offering an innovative new approach to 3D model creation. By selecting a number of points on a series of still photographs of an object or environment, Image Modeler extracts 3D data and textures to build models that are photo-realistic. The Cult 3D Designer built into the package is an authoring program that adds interactivity, animation, sound, Java events, and particle systems to the 3D model. This program features a drag-and-drop, icon-based interface, and has a built-in compression feature that reduces a model's file size up to 95%, making it easily transportable to the Web. ImageModeler for Cult3D supports the PC platform, and is priced at $2,100
