Sony representatives have been demonstrating the company’s new PSX device at the CEATEC electronics show in Tokyo. It was announced that the multimedia PSX, which contains a PS2, hard-drive and DVD burner will go on sale for the equivalent of $720 for a 160Gb hard disk version and $900 for a 250Gb version. The two variants will be able to record 200 or 325 hours of video footage, respectively. The machine will be launched in Japan this year, with the US and Europe to follow in 2004.
