mtvU’S 'Game0RZ Ball Tour ‘06' Begins

mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, has announced the “Game0RZ Ball Tour ‘06,” a ten-step tour that brings tournaments, unreleased games, and giveaways to college campuses beginning October 26th at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, has announced dates and campuses for its “Game0RZ Ball Tour ‘06.” The ten date tour spans colleges and universities across the southeast this fall, bringing unreleased games, new music and game-related competitions. One student will also win a free Xbox 360 at each stop on the tour, which begins October 26th at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Students of all skill levels will be able to participate in a variety of competitions, activities and get an early look at forthcoming game titles including WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw, Tony Hawk’s Project 8, and the Burger King® Xbox 360 games Big Bumpin’, PocketBike Racer, and Sneak King. Other recently released titles such as Saint’s Row, Splinter Cell, and Test Drive Unlimited will also be featured. The tournaments and competitions are set to take place in Madden NFL ’07, WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw, Dance Dance Revolution, PocketBike Racer, and Test Drive Unlimited. Four tour stops will also feature live “Play with the Pros” online gaming events, where students will have the opportunity to chat and play Counter-Strike: Source with pro-gamers around the world via multiplayer communication tool Xfire. Top participants will win a copy of PC-based Counter-Strike: Source. Those that can’t make it to one of the tour’s stops can visit mtvU.com for student-developed online games, and other game-related material, including the launch of “GameORZ Week,” with interviews with top gamers, machinima and other content starting Monday, November 13th.
