Publisher Merscom has announced it will be bringing the popular casual puzzle game Sudoku to Xbox Live Arcade in the form of Buku Sudoku, an HD and multiplayer enhanced version of the game. The company says Buku Sudoku will use three key features of the XBLA platform to create "the best console Sudoku experience" from the HD graphics, which allow "for an easy to read grid with pencil marks," to the Xbox 360's controllers, which "make for a very fast entry method." Finally, the company says Xbox Live's multiplayer capabilities, "allow for multiplayer experiences never before witnessed in a Sudoku game," and that the game will offer "multiple puzzle sizes, difficulties, control schemes, and tutorials" for both veteran or new player appeal. Said Merscom CEO Kirk Owen, “We are really excited about the release of Buku Sudoku, as it takes the proven and popular gameplay of Sudoku to a new level. It will appeal not only to Sudoku fans but anyone who loves a great gameplay experience. Given the popularity of Sudoku on other platforms and the quality of this game, we expect Buku Sudoku to be a phenomenal hit.”
