The Society for Human Resource Management named Insomniac Games one of the 50 Best Small and Medium Sized Companies to Work For in America at its 57th Annual Conference and Exposition. The Ratchet & Clank developer placed third within the 25 Best Small Companies division. This is the second year that the Society for Human Resource Management has given the awards, which are presented to companies with between 50 and 999 employees. The judging was based on employee surveys given to randomly selected staffers at companies up for review; topics covered on the questionnaire covered overall job satisfaction to company culture. "It's a real honor to be included among the 25 best small companies to work for in America because the ranking is based on our own employees' attitudes about Insomniac Games," said Ted Price, Insomniac's founder and president. The company is the first video game developer to be rated on the 50 Best Places list.
