Infinium Labs announced that Kathy Schoback and Wallace Poulter have joined the company in management roles. Schoback, formerly the director of product operations at Eidos and currently the chairperson of the International Game Developers Association, assumes the role of vice president of content strategy. Poulter was the games partnership manager at Apple Computer for the Mac platform, and will be Infinium's director of publisher relations. Schoback, who will report to company president Kevin Bachus, said that her decision to join the company was based on what she expects the company to deliver in the future, not its checkered past. "The Phantom game service is an idea whose time has come," she explained. "We expect casual gamers to hurdle too many barriers to play their games - from configuring PCs, to lack of knowledge about new releases, to limited selection at retail. Our service removes many of these obstacles and brings many erstwhile gamers on the fringes of our industry into the fold. The core idea always had promise, but the new management team under Kevin's leadership has really set the ship aright. It's a promising opportunity to work on something that's both innovative and market-smart." Source: Infinium Labs, Kathy Schoback
