Here's how the IGF Competition awards will be structured: 1. An "Open" Category (for games distributed on CD-ROMs, console games, downloadable games larger than 15MB in size...any game not conforming to the "web/downloadable category" below):

    • Innovation In Audio ($1000)

    • Innovation In Game Design ($1000)

    • Technical Excellence ($1000)

    • Audience Award ($1000)

    • Seumas McNally Grand Prize ($15,000) 2. An "Web/Downloadable" Category (for games played in web browsers and downloadable games distributed as single, self-extracting executable files under 15MB in size in size). The awards in this category will be:

    • Innovation In Visual Art ($1000)

    • Innovation In Audio ($1000)

    • Innovation In Game Design ($1000)

    • Technical Excellence ($1000)

    • Audience Award ($1000)

    • Seumas McNally Grand Prize ($15,000) The due date for IGF Competition submissions is Tuesday, September 2. The due date for IGF Student Showcase submissions (a non-competitive exhibition of games developed by high school and college students) is November 14. More information can be found at the IGF web site. The IGF is produced by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
