Formerly known as the Spotlight Awards, the GDCAs give game developers a chance to honor their own, with nominations and final votes generated exclusively within the developer community. The Game Developers Choice Awards will recognize traditional categories like Game of the Year, while also offering more specific awards honoring such things as Excellence in Programming and Community Contribution, at a special ceremony on March 23 as part of the Game Developers Conference. A complete list of Game Developers Choice Awards and nominees is available on the International Game Developers website. The Game Developers Choice Awards are co-presented by the CMP Game Media Group, publishers of Gamasutra.
