I've Ran Out Of Ideas for my game!?

Sometimes we get witters block when it comes to adding new mechanics, design, and themes for our games. Ive found it beneficial to add to existing games to get your brain prepared for your projects in the future.

         The more we mess around with existing ideas the more fluid our design plans will flow.

 

 

       You can find your favorite game and break it down. Think about how it can be improved. Add new mechanics to it. This way you can be more aware of more instances fo how games are put together.

         If you get stuck on a certain topic don't think about it so hard. Get up and walk around. If your alone then talk to yourself about why your game isn't working and think about as many ways to fix the problem. Simplify the concept if it gets to be too frustrating. I recently had a project due and my concpet was way to ambitious. Expecially concidering deadlines. Your game could probablly be broken down a few times more than you think. If what your thinking sounds right go with it no matter what.  When you start doubting the fact that you can actually produce the content in your head then maybe you should go a notch lower.
