Quad Software has announced the release of the latest version of its Grome graphical editor and terrain and game level modeler targeted towards professional game developers and the 3D simulation industry. The newest edition, the first update since its recent commercial release in February 2007, adds user-defined data for scene entities, enabling users to assign custom properties on any scene entity, and view and modify their data in a new property page view. Also added to the new version are new graphical asset libraries, pen tablet pressure sensitivity, and the ability to share tool presets. "Our clients’ feedback from real-world production scenarios had a great impact on our current and future development," says Adrian Licuriceanu, Quad Software technical director in charge of Grome development. "Grome is a mature product, ready to be used in big commercial productions."
