Developer and publisher Electronic Arts has announced its full 2006 line-up ahead of tomorrow's Gamer's Day at EA Redwood Shores, indicating that it plans to ship 20 new titles across 11 separate platforms from now until the end of year. EA's lineup of titles is headlined by several annual entries in the company's many sports franchises. While the company recently shipped NFL Head Coach for the PS2, Xbox and PC, the company will build upon this release with NCAA Football 07 and Madden NFL 07 for multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360. In addition, Madden's latest entry will also ship for the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Wii platforms this fall. Players can also look forward to more arcade-style football action from EA with the release of NFL Street 3 for the PS2 and PSP. Other releases from beneath the EA Sports umbrella include EA Tiburon-developed NASCAR 07 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox and NASCAR for the PSP, both of which will be released in September alongside NHL 07, the latest in the company's long running hockey series will ship for the PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, and PC. EA will also ship the latest releases in its NBA Live and Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchises this fall for the PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP and PC. Both of these titles have also been confirmed for the PS3, but it is unclear if they will be available day and date with the release of the console this November. Turning away from sports, EA also confirmed that it will ship a new next-generation version of the recently released The Godfather game, which the company notes has been custom built to take advantage of the Xbox 360. In addition, the company will ship a portable version of the title called The Godfather: Mob Wars for the PSP. The game, according to EA, will let you “maneuver your mobsters and play the right cards to take control of NYC one territory at a time.” Both games will be released this September. The company will also ship Need For Speed Carbon, the latest in EA's underground racing franchise, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii as well as the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, PSP, PC, and mobile platforms this fall. The video game adaptation of the recently released feature film Superman Returns will ship this fall as well for the Xbox 360, PS2, Xbox, PSP, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance. In addition, EA confirmed that Digital Illusions/DICE Sweden's Battlefield 2142 for the PC will also be available in the fall. Continuing its support for the mobile platform, EA also announced that it will make available several mobile titles throughout the remainder of 2006, including Fight Night Round 3, Madden NFL 07, NBA LIVE 07 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07. The company will also this summer release Orcs & Elves, a brand new first-person, turn-based fantasy RPG, created exclusively for mobile phones by Doom and Quake creator id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment. Other mobile releases announced by EA include Tetris this summer, and Downtown Texas Hold’em 2 and SimCity this fall.
