Capcom has released its latest collection of downloadable multiplayer maps for the action shooter Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, including three new levels available for purchase over Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points ($5). The newly released areas include “Lost Technology,” a map inspired by classic 8-bit style gaming, as well as a jungle area with temples called “Ruins,” and another known as “Ice Drop,” in keeping with the core game's more traditional frozen environments. In addition, Capcom adds that the company is also currently developing a forthcoming patch designed to address multiplayer connectivity issues being faced by some players, which it says will be released in July. The game, a third-person action title that pits players against both aliens and pirates on a snowy ice-covered world, boasts both a single player campaign, as well as multiplayer modes with support for up to 16 players via the Xbox Live. The title was originally released for the Xbox 360 in January, though a version of the game will ship for PCs later in June thanks to an earlier announced partnership between Capcom and graphics chip manufacturer Nvidia.
